Olathe and Lenexa Fire Departments say discarded smoking materials left in a flower pot on the deck of a home in Olathe caused a two-alarm house fire Sunday morning.
Crews got the call around 2:45 a.m. Sunday. The fire caused $650,000 of damage to the house near Cedar Niles Boulevard and College Boulevard.
No one was hurt. The Red Cross is helping two people who lived in the home find a safe place to stay.
