For the second time in four days, citizens visiting Flower Pot Beach, Pointe-a-Pierre, have been robbed of their valuables.

Last Friday, a 40-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man of Carapichaima were approached by four men and robbed of cash and a number of items valued at thousands of dollars while leaving the beach.

They were walking out of a track from the site on Friday evening when police said they were approached by the men.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victims and demanded their valuables.

Pieces of jewelry, house and business keys, identification cards, a cellphone valued at $2,500, and clothes valued at $1,100 were taken in the robbery. A total of $800 in cash was also taken from one of the victims. The men then escaped on foot, police said.

Two of the suspects were described to police as being of East Indian descent, while two were described as “dougla” in the police report on the incident. One of the suspects was armed with a firearm, one wielded a cutlass, and the other two had knives.

Just three days before, a 17-year-old Penal girl was robbed of her cellphone and cash during a lime at the beach on Tuesday.

Armed bandits reportedly terrorised the family and robbed the teen of her cellphone around 5.30 p.m. A police report said the men announced a hold-up, robbed the girl of $500 cash and her iPhone 11 valued at $2,500, and ran off.

The robbery occurred when the family was walking towards their vehicle to go home.
